Beginning of Summertime Activities

Jordan Lake Family Campout

The Family camping trip to Jordan Lake is the weekend of 28^th-29^th. If you haven’t already signed up and wish to attend, please do so tonight. The last day to sign up and pay is Tuesday April 24^th(Pack Meeting). The cost will be $8 per person which will cover the food from Lunch Saturday through Breakfast Sunday. If you’re not staying the full period, the price is reduced – see the signup sheet. For anyone interested, they can camp Friday night also, just let me know. Full details are on the website and/or the flyers.

Fun Events

We had about 56 Scouts, siblings, parents & potential scouts attend the Durham Bulls game on Sunday April 22^nd. We had a good time and great weather! Atta-boys to those brave Scouts who stayed until the end – 16 innings – a Durham Bulls record!! We’re still working on the final May activity – stay tuned.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Early registration for Cub Scout Day Camp ends May 1st. I would HIGHLY recommend the day camp if you haven't attended before. It's one of the few times the Scouts can shoot arrows, BB guns and do lots of other fun stuff in a controlled, supervised setting. So if you want to save $10 you'll need to apply now! Also, volunteers for Den leaders for the full week are eligible for $40 discount off the Scout fee, get to spend a lot of quality time with some very excited Scouts and get a T-Shirt! What a deal!!
